The goal of the Program and Events Committee is to enhance the professional level of the Oregon bioscience workforce.  The committee will accomplish this goal by delivering events which provide educational value, networking opportunities and result in content as well as personal connections that build a strong Oregon bioscience community.

The roles and responsibilities of the committee include:

• Define the overall strategy for Oregon Bio’s programs (and drive to the Oregon Bio program budget).
• Identify and select the content/format for each event, including educational events and networking events.  
• Select schedules and venues for each event. 
• Recruit speakers and panelists as needed.
• Create event descriptions and obtain speaker bios to be used to drive attendance. 
• Act as event moderators as needed.
• Assist Oregon Bio staff to solicit sponsorships for events.
• Provide post event analysis for continuous improvement
