We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our Wilsonville facility, just 10 miles from Portland, Oregon. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive suppliers to identify appropriate quality assurance systems that will ensure receipt of defect free components/materials.
Drive suppliers to establish quality assurance systems based in prevention versus inspection utilizing capability studies, design and process FMEA, SPC, DOE, IQ/OQ/PQ validations, gage R&R, and other quality tools.
Work with engineering, manufacturing, and quality in developing and defining inspection criteria for workmanship and cosmetic defects and communicating that criteria and expectations to suppliers.
Champion the MRB process for supplier caused defects. Communicate identified issues, and drive corrective action and preventive actions by the suppliers.
Support the new product development process as necessary. Support /coordinate design review process between Medical Products and supplier as necessary.
Support Medical Products during supplier visits.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, materials, equipment, and processes. Develop and maintain an understanding of industry and market trends and competition.
Develop, deliver and ensure in-house training programs for company personnel in order to ensure regulatory compliance.
Drive improvements in suppliers’ quality performance.
Develop quality metrics to evaluate supplier performance.
Drive resolution of supplier corrective action requests.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, materials, equipment, and processes. Develop and maintain an understanding of industry and market trends and competition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five or more years supplier quality or supply chain management and/or engineering that included driving supplier performance improvements and/or meeting and organization’s needs.
BA or BS in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Degree in Technical discipline preferred.
Knowledge of quality improvement tools (i.e. SPC, Process capability, DOE, Gage R&R)
Knowledge of FDA Title 21 Part 820 and/or ISO 9001 or 13485.
Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.
Language proficiency appropriate to the region of assignment preferred.
BA or BS in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
Degree in Technical discipline preferred.
Knowledge of quality improvement tools (i.e. SPC, Process capability, DOE, Gage R&R).
Knowledge of FDA Title 21 Part 820 and/or ISO 9001 or 13485.
Six Sigma Green Belt desirable.
