About WVBIC
The Willamette Valley Bioscience Consortium (WVBIC) was created through a local effort to affiliate with the state-wide Oregon Bioscience Association (OBA).
WVBIC's Mission is to address and represent the common concerns of bioscience-related organizations and to help focus the interests of the consortium as a prominent industry in the Willamette Valley.
We do this by extending the reach of the OBA in Community, Collaboration and Commercialization and by:
- Growing the member base and staging events that help to provide collaborative development and marketing opportunities for our members.
- Providing industry-specific workforce training and education programs to ensure the steady supply of skilled workers.
- Strengthening connections between research organizations and industry members to accelerate both industry R&D and successful commercialization of new products and technologies.
- Helping to “brand” the Willamette Valley as a desirable location for new companies and for top-tier scientific and management talent.
