New Grant for Export Assistance!
Going forward, the largest and fastest-growing markets will be outside the United States. Getting overseas yourself is the best way to really understand these new growth markets, but requires a commitment of considerable time and money.
Business Oregon (The Oregon Business Development Department) invites Oregon businesses to apply for a new program, funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, that was set up to help eligible small businesses exhibit at overseas trade shows or join trade missions. The grant can will cover 50% of eligible expenses up to a maximum reimbursement of $5000.
Eligible expenses include:
- Exhibit space rental, booth construction, equipment and furniture rental, utilities;
Trade show or trade mission participation fee (for exhibitors) Freight costs of equipment and/or exhibit materials to and from tradeshow Interpreter/translation fees Per Diem (food and lodging expenses for one employee) Market research and business matching services provided by Business Oregon or the U.S. Commercial Service
