New program will support growing bioscience sector

Leaders at medical device component maker Precision Wire Components LLC know the challenge of hiring and training skilled workers. The Tualatin-based company has brought on 220 new employees during the past six years.

The company is now taking advantage of the state's newest bioscience work force training program, called BioPro. Launched Jan. 29, the 23-course program meets a pressing industry need: training workers in the skills needed to drive the growing bioscience sector.
