We are Micro Systems Engineering, Inc. part of the worldwide BIOTRONIK group, a medical electronics manufacturer located near Portland, Oregon in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We now have an opportunity for a Application Support Specialist.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Software Support Engineer provides technical support for centralized applications (MKS, PSNext, etc.) used within the engineering organization, including installation, configuration, deployment, license management, troubleshooting, problem resolution and workflow consultation.
This job is responsible for the day-to-day administration of our centralized applications including Software Configuration Management System, Issue Tracking System and Project Management System.
Currently using MKS Source Integrity, MKS Integrity Manager and PSNext the job entails a mix of tool configuration, giving expert advice on the use of the tools, technical support, constructing efficient policies for use and contributing to internal structures.
The Software Support Engineer assists project management with PSNext based project planning and project monitoring in addition to regular project analysis and updates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring that processes are implemented on centralized applications (Source Configuration Management System, Issue Tracking System and Project Management System)
Ensuring that the development Configuration Management, Issue Tracking System and Project Management infrastructure is maintained.
Implementing polices on branching strategies and project structures
Advising engineers on best practices
Assisting with staff training for Configuration Management System, Issue Tracking System and Project Management System
Assisting Program Management with project planning and project monitoring
Providing mentoring and guidance on Configuration Management System and Project Management System for individuals
Controlling user permissions, user/group rules and licence allocation
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Expert in support and control of source configuration management systems and issue tracking systems
Expert knowledge of MKS SI and IM toolset
Project management experience
Experience with standard project management software (e.g. PSNext, MS Project)
User and expert knowledge of PSNext (Sciforma Inc.)
Detailed project management knowledge
Clear, concise communication skills
Excellent customer relationships
Ability to work with a variety of organizational levels.
