POSITION SUMMARY:
This position requires 3-5 years’ experience in Microsoft Windows Server system management and Linux. Experience should include server hardware and operating system installation, patching and upgrades, problem resolution, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
TCP/IP routing as required by Linux and Windows servers.
Maintain system software licensing compliance.
Linux and Windows based system security.
System performance tracking and tuning.
Coordinate operating system updates and changes across local area network.
Network support.
Windows server Administration.
Linux System Administration
Administration of Web and DNS servers.
Installation and configuration of PC application software including virus scanning.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A BSCS or BSCE preferred, but not required
Experience in development and maintenance of the following: Windows NT and Server 2003, Linux, Windows ‘XP, ‘2000, ’95 and ’98, IIS (Microsoft Internet information services), Apache Server, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS SQL Server and Access, TCP/IP and VPN network troubleshooting and analysis knowledge
Experience in the installation and maintenance of IBM PC compatibles, PC Bus peripherals and network interfaces.
Experience in phone and/or field system support.
An individual who troubleshoots and diagnoses extremely difficult and complex problems to resolution.
Excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the Company.
Excellent organizational, prioritization and problem solving skills, plus the ability to multi-task.
