We now have an opening for a Market Development Representative located in beautiful Pacific NW near Portland, OR. (Relocation help will be provided).

POSITION SUMMARY:
Sell and promote BIOTRONIK, Inc.'s products within a defined geographic territory by developing new accounts and expanding usage of company products by current accounts in an effort to meet a sales quota based on company sales goals and to increase overall sales revenue for BIOTRONIK, Inc. In targeted accounts, create awareness and acceptance of BIOTRONIK, Inc.'s state-of-the-art product portfolio by educating implanting and referring physicians. In targeted accounts, drive BIOTRONIK, Inc. awareness and foster customer loyalty for BIOTRONIK, Inc. by promoting products, therapies, and services that enable physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Members of the business development team will act as the execution arm for corporate initiatives that focus on key accounts to drive sales growth. In addition to developing and executing targeted account business plans, the business development representative will act as a sales mentor for the reps within their assigned sales territory. This role provides the business development rep with an incredible opportunity to hone their salesmanship and sales coaching skills. Successful business development representatives will be considered for future sales and marketing leadership positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partners with sales directors and sales reps to develop a targeted account growth sales plan that aligns referral and implant physician strategies to achieve growth in market size.

Assesses market conditions (SWOT, economics, players, size, sales market opportunity, and annual sales plan)

Creates a territory market development sales plan that implements BIOTRONIK, Inc. corporate sales and marketing initiatives.

Analyze specific accounts and develop strategies that will meet defined implant and revenue targets. Develop specific approaches for creating awareness and acceptance of BIOTRONIK, Inc. and include them in the account plan.

Establishes regular team account reviews, regular communication between account members, and execution of account plans. Develops action plans (i.e., weekly, quarterly, monthly) by analyzing quarterly and monthly sales figures and reports identifying the needs of particular accounts and discussing issues with Regional Sales Director to help the organization achieve its annual sales goals. Determines the needs, goals, and product usage by specific customers by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of physicians and other hospital personnel to learn which BIOTRONIK, Inc. products can best address their specific needs.

Develops relationships with hospital personnel (e.g. through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within hospital and to identify key purchasing decision makers in order to facilitate future sales.

Sell relevant product technical information on BIOTRONIK, Inc. devices to the implanting and referring physicians that support account sales goals.

Assess physician's knowledge, acceptance, and use of BIOTRONIK, Inc.'s products.

Plan and deliver educational activities utilizing appropriate educational techniques to communicate the clinical value of BIOTRONIK, Inc.'s products to positively influence patient outcomes.

Continuously sell the brand message of BIOTRONIK, Inc.-exclusive device-based features and benefits.

Works with physician and clinical personnel to implement effective clinic processes and strategies to ensure effective integration of device-based therapies into clinical management of heart failure patients.

Acts as sales coach for ?high potential? sales reps in the sales territory. Mentor these reps while they establish themselves in an already mature cardiac rhythm management market.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree

Cardiac Rhythm Management industry experience in sales and/or marketing roles of pacemakers and defibrillators as well as remote monitoring solutions

Consistent high achievement in a sales career that includes more than 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries.

Knowledge of clinic and hospital cardiovascular units, including patient pathways and business operations.

Knowledge of cardiac disease impact, unmet needs of other therapies, and benefits of BIOTRONIK, Inc. therapies.

Consultative selling skills to elicit needs, assess clinical pathways and processes, and recommend and support BIOTRONIK, Inc. adoption.

Experience developing a market, i.e. strategy development, key tactics, execution and performance metrics.

MBA preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel will vary depending on where the business development manager lives. If the business development manager lives within their territory, travel will range from 40 ? 60%. If the candidate lives outside their territory, travel will be 75-80%
