We are Micro Systems Engineering, Inc. part of the worldwide BIOTRONIK group, a medical electronics manufacturer located near Portland, Oregon. We now have an opportunity for a Staff IC Design Engineer in one of our design centers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for high quality, ultra low power, and low voltage integrated circuit design in mainly digital IC. You will use of system level tools like Math Lab to perform theoretical system level conceptual design. You will also use high-end CAD tools, various levels of CAD simulation/design environments, including Cadence and Synopsys tools like Analog Artist, AMS, Spectre, NCVerilog, ETS, P&R tools and Synthesis Tools. You will collaborate and work effectively with other members of various IC design groups and with system design and development (hardware and firmware) teams. You will also be responsible for detail design of standard cell libraries for optimizing for low voltage low power design, and characterization of standard cells and logic blocks to be used in synthesis design flows and methodology.
The position requires strong technical skills with 5-10 years experience in digital circuit design with experience in mixed signal IC design/development. The position also requires experience with Unix/Linux OS, Shell scripting, TCL, Perl, Synthesis tools, moderate use of C/C++, and Cadence SkillTM programming. Experience with embedded controller designs, controller architectures like 8051, ARM, HC11 are very beneficial. Knowledge in RTL design and Static timing analysis of RTL code/design and custom digital is also highly beneficial. Advanced Degrees in Electrical Engineering (BS, MS, or PhD) required and background in IC design in the file of cardiovascular implantable devices is preferred.
