Floragenex is a biotechnology company focused on unlocking the potential of plants to meet growing demand for food, fuel, and raw materials in the 21st century. The company has developed a proprietary platform that accelerates the natural breeding and selection process to develop plants with specific valuable traits without using genetic modification. Examples of potential projects include: developing alternative biofuels crops, enhancing and improving the production of functional foods, discovery of traits and genes related to compounds for nutraceuticals and plant made pharmaceuticals.
