Meet the 7 Oregon businesses that received Keiretsu Forum cash last year

Portland Business Journal, March 24, 2014

With the Keiretsu Forum Northwest amping its level of angel funding money, seven Oregon companies and groups are, in all likelihood, grateful.

The investment group, which is part of the world’s largest angel investing entity, increased its overall outlays from $20.1 million in 2012 to $20.5 million over the past year. Of the 35 companies or groups receiving investments, seven are from Oregon.

They are: Avatron, DesignMedix, Fairway America Fund VI, Indow Windows, the Portland Seed Fund and Puralytics.

The 35 funded companies operate out of the Seattle, Boise, Spokane and Vancouver, B.C. areas. Nine of the businesses received follow-on rounds. About half of the investments went to tech companies.

Keiretsu Forum Northwest has put $132 million-plus into 215 companies since forming in 2005.
