The Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) is teaming up to present the I-Corps Bio-Entrepreneurship Workshop in San Diego June 7-10, during BIO 2020, the industry’s premier annual international event. Diverse partners are collaborating to provide this unique and intensive 3-day session, including experts from workshop partners including BIO, United Negro College Fund, National Science Foundation, Ernest E. Just Institute for the Life Sciences, AUTM, VentureWell, University of New Hampshire I-Corps, CSU I-Corps and MIT I-Corps.
“This workshop comes highly recommended and we hope many Oregon Bio members will take advantage of this high value and timely opportunity,” said Oregon Bio’s executive director, Liisa Bozinovic.
Participants will work with industry professionals to learn about biotechnology commercialization, grow professional networks, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities that build on basic research. All workshop participants will work in teams with industry professionals. The workshop will embrace I-Corps’ principles of customer discovery. I-Corps creates entrepreneurial experiences with all the pressures and demands of the real world – so expect a participatory, fast-paced, high-energy workshop. There will be ‘full-time’ team-work, and participants will interview experts and potential customers at BIO 2020.
The workshop occurs during BIO 2020, the annual international conference also happening the same dates in San Diego. For more information and to apply, click here by Monday, March 16.
