Join us January 28 at Tonkin Torp as Rocky Dallum, Oregon Bio’s Government and Advocacy Consultant, shares what organizations need to know about bill summaries and engaging representatives. The lunch and learn kicks off a series of industry stakeholder advocacy education. It’s a “must-attend” event for those new to Oregon Bio’s Government Affairs and Advocacy Committee and those wanting a deeper understanding of what takes place at our Biotech Summit.

Our “Advocacy 101 Lunch & Learn” series offers Oregon Bio members an opportunity to learn from our Government Affairs and Advocacy Committee how to optimally engage with policy and legislative leaders. Our goal is to educate our members how to effectively advocate for their companies. This L&L series will provide attendees with the following tools:

  • How to look up a bill summary
  • How to identify and contact their legislators
  • Preparing testimony on bills in the region
  • Providing a letter of support or opposition on a bill

This L&L series will allow for the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange ideas, share insights and build long-term relationships, while discussing pertinent issues that affect the bioscience industry and how we can collaborate as a united voice.
