This position is part of Genentech’s’ Hillsboro Individualized Therapy Team (HIT)  team based in Hillsboro, Oregon.  HIT is a next generation cell and gene therapy facility with multiple technologies for delivering individualized therapies.  In this critical role, you will be part of a dedicated cross-functional team working on production start-up activities such as the design, installation, testing, and validation of manufacturing equipment, construction management, processes, and the quality approach for this exciting and novel technology.

 

 

The Project Integration Manager – Technology and Integration position offers a unique opportunity to shape the information and technology solutions in alignment with the Pharma vision. Reporting to the Site Head of Facilities and Engineering, you will be a member of the IT OT Manufacturing Network and deliver harmonized IT and OT solutions for the global PT manufacturing network.

 

As Project Integration Manager, you will be the driver of business opportunities enabled by information and operational technologies. In partnering the business and the IT OT Team, your focus is always on Make Assess Release (MAR) in alignment with site priorities as well as demand originating from Projects. Being responsible for the end to end Information and Operational Technology landscape, you are a key interface for development of technology and processes, risk and relationship management. In addition, you take a key role in the digitalization of PT’s global manufacturing network, which targets to deliver reliable services through standardization of the Information and Operational Technology environment.Your contribution will be fundamental to embed the new operating model and culture into the entire function.

 

What you’ll be working on

De facto Squad Lead, Project Manager until formal structures are established based on need and scope of the initiatives (e.g. SAP, MES, Automation, SCADA, LIMS, and Building Automation)
Work closely with the  IT OT organization, running huddles, facilitating support
Responsible for the end-to-end Make Assess Release (MAR) processes of site
Responsible  the technological Information and Operational Technology landscape and its integration at the site
As responsible for the site Information and Operational Technology landscape evolution, ensure overall production strategy and commitments are met whilst increasîng the sites digital maturity in line with the PT Strategy
In partnership with business stakeholders, Business Integration Managers, Technological Product Leads/Owners take a key role in identifying business opportunities and support of PT Strategy Deployment activities – Site projects, PoCs, Pilots
Act as liaison with regard to system architectures, system integration and the underlying business processes
Drive continuous improvement activities of prioritized initiatives, operational and support processes
Lead cross-functional teams in an agile set-up, taking the role of advising, educating and challenging the status quo with a customer oriented E2E mindset
The ideal candidate

Lives the motto of getting things done, can do strategy but not shy about providing direct operations support/ end to end issue resolution
Has business domain and Information and Operational Technology expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, with an experience in manufacturing and Technical Operations and an understanding of market challenges and competitive advantages
Proficient knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and processes (manufacturing, digital plant, shop floor systems, quality lab systems, data historians or automation systems) as well as system architecture and its integration
Nurtures a business consultative and value driven partnership. Demonstrates executive presence, strong business acumen, navigates ambiguity and manages complexity
Well-networked. Exhibits intellectual curiosity and integrity, with a high degree of self-awareness, empathy and listening skills. Lives a speak up culture and promotes a culture of trust

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or related experience
Highly developed people and negotiation skills
8+ years professional experience in global and complex business environments
Special Skills:

Entrepreneurial mindset with focus on continuous improvement, end-to-end thinker and problem solver, applying lean and agile methods
Excellent communication skills at both, a global and local level to technical and non technical audiences
