Assist with the management of the site and building-related repairs/maintenance projects occurring in the facility.
Areas of responsibility will include painting, ceiling systems, plumbing, lighting, and flooring work and roof repairs, space planning and other building related items.
Oversee building related contracts such as janitorial, maintenance and pest control.
Work with contract managers as needed.
Interface with internal customers, to coordinate resources, outline satisfactory construction and safety practices and ensure timely completion of various building maintenance repairs and project activities.
Track and trend performance parameters.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Facility Management group by attending daily coordination meetings to report out information on work to be performed that requires assessment, prioritization and scheduling.
Provide ongoing project and schedule updates and completion status for all work that may affect operations.
Perform field supervision of contractors involved with maintenance and repair of facilities including providing training and performing quality assurance checks.
Identify and initiate preventive maintenance procedures.
Manage budget to insure proper allocation of funds.
Manage documentation including work orders, Disruption and Access Requests, Work Authorizations, Purchase Requisitions, Change Request Forms, Discrepancy Management, and Capital Spending Requests.
Identify and write maintenance procedures for building systems to establish routine maintenance practices that enhance our asset management program.
Minimum 10 years applicable experience working in a facilities related job in an industrial setting.
Experience in an FDA regulated industry, hospital, or clean room environment.
Knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices as they relate to plumbing and electrical systems in a controlled environment.
The ability to prepare specifications and requests for quotes for construction.
Knowledge of safe operating practices.
The ability to write maintenance and training procedures.
The ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings;
Effective oral and written communication skills.
The ability to use standard computer applications such as MS Office Suite, email etc.
Knowledge of use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Familiarity with UBC, UFC and UPC codebooks and their applications.
