Position Overview
The Manufacturing Lead is someone who thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn. This role is responsible for ensuring that production assembly is actively engaged, meeting customer demands and the production schedule. The Manufacturing Lead also provides effective training to assembly personnel and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. The Manufacturing Lead may provide a percentage of direct labor contribution to assemble products which will require the use of a variety of hand tools, fixtures, mechanical work instructions and test equipment.


The Manufacturing Test Technician Team Leader performs many of the following tasks:

Training employees
Facilitating team participation
Resolving production problems
Conducting performance evaluations
Following and auditing safety guidelines
Giving and receiving employee feedback
Assists in scheduling Team overtime, PTO and tracking overall attendance
Provides written end of shift performance updates to Production Supervisor
Updates weekly, daily/hourly production metrics and facilitates regular team meetings
Education / Experience:

Background in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement
Experience with low volume, highly complex manufacturing processes
Demonstrated ability in successfully leading a Team of 8-10 employees
5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role
Associates degree in Business Management (cumulative certifications also acceptable)

Experience with managing projects and teams
Possess problem solving and troubleshooting techniques
Self-motivated, decision maker with strong organizational skills
Comfortable training, leading projects and motivating Team members
Analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively
Strong inter-personnel skills with employees of differing cultural, language, and educational backgrounds
Ability to lift 35lbs as well as frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands at arms-length, stoop, kneel and crouch
