What will you do?

This position is responsible for following duties listed below for the Japan and Korea regions.

Market Development


The primary responsibility is to drive programs that improve lead generation and growth in the region. They will work in close collaboration with the local Sales, Nanoport, Sales Development, Divisional Marketing and Business Unit marketing teams to deliver sustained regional market growth using:

Tracking, and driving expansion of the pipeline for sales development (MQL, SQL and SQO), in close collaboration with Divisional Marketing
Differentiated region focused value-based positioning
Compelling collateral for regional sales dev and account managers
Impactful marketing campaigns and New Product Introductions (NPI)
Virtual and live events crafted to raise awareness, increase customer intimacy and generate opportunities for the sales funnel
Product/segment strategy communication to field (including training for sales, NNP and applications)
Strategy Planning


The regional marketing manager will plan winning strategies tailored to regions to create awareness and lead pipeline by developing a strong understanding of the regional market needs and growth segments. Working in close collaboration with the sales development team and the business unit they will collect competitive analysis and benchmarking data and synthesize this data into regional countermeasures. They will also provide information back to the business unit related to regional driven issues, product gaps, technology and market inflections.


Customer Engagement


In collaboration with the regional sales dev team, they will develop a strong technical engagement with customers in their region. They will build impactful, regionally tailored presentations and coalesce the resulting voice of customer information into practical data for the business unit product marketing teams. This role will be based at Thermo Fisher Scientific’s headquarters/Nanoports in Hillsboro. Travel, up to approximately 40% will be encouraged, to build and maintain a strong understanding of our customer’s needs in the region.


How will you get here?



Bachelors degree required

Minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience working within the semiconductor industry or related business
Semiconductor process and metrology technology knowledge is preferred.
Understanding of the various regional semiconductor markets
Strong preference for candidates matching some or all of these capabilities:


Prior experience marketing, sales or applications in a high tech environment required strongly preferred
Strong value-based marketing background. MBA or a confirmed experience in developing business cases and successfully handling business objectives is preferred.
Technical product proven experience. University degree in a relevant scientific field is required. This position requires an understanding of customer use cases, and interaction with technical customers, so qualifications or experience in materials science or related electron and ion microscopy fields would be advantageous.
Confirmed ability to effectively connect with diverse audiences is essential to the success of this position.
Willing and able to travel internationally
